Hopefully the approaching centenaries will result in a more nuanced, less simplistic understanding of the events of 1913-1923 and the sacrifices of the few men/women of the ICA, IRB, Volunteers, Cumann na mBan, Fianna Eireann
and IRA who, in the words of Sean Moylan, dared to pit their puny strength against the might of Empire.
